The history of Living Word Family Church begins with Pastor Paul Foslien, his wife Maria, and their two kids. They had just returned from planting a church in the former Soviet Republic of Belarus when they were called upon to bring the uncompromised Word of God to the city of Naples and all of Southwest Florida.
The first service, with 17 people in attendance, was held on Sunday, November 21,1998 at the Veteran’s Park Community Center in North Naples. In July 1999, the church was able to move into its own building located in North Naples.
In 2004, the church purchased land along Immokalee Road and began the planning process to build the current facility. In 2008, the Living Word family broke ground on this property, ready to fulfill a much larger vision—a church campus that would allow for years of expansion. The first service was held in this building on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010. Over 1,800 people worshipped together in two services that morning.
The church has experienced continued growth, and in 2011, a third Sunday morning service was added to help with the hundreds of families that have joined the church family.
Since then, the church family has been able to reach out and help the North Naples community through “I Love My Community” events. With many calling Living Word Family Church home, the impact of these events has been wide-spread. Collier County Schools, St. Matthew’s House, Helps Outreach Center, and hundreds of families in need have benefitted from the generous outpouring of the Living Word Family Church and its members.
