God’s Affordable Health Care
Children are not responsible for paying for health care coverage: their parents are responsible for meeting this need. The DNA of children prove that they belong to their parents, and as a result, children reap the blessings of their parents. The same is true of our faith walk. Our Christian DNA proves that we belong to God and that we are covered by His health care plan. God’s ultimate will for our lives is that we walk in divine health.
Jehovah Rapha means “the God who heals” and is one of the names of God defined in the Bible. He is our great physician and this is part of His character. His desire is for us to be whole both physically and mentally.
Unfortunately, the earth was cursed with sin and sickness when Adam and Eve broke God’s covenant. By willfully choosing to eat the forbidden fruit, they introduced all sorts of evil, including disease, into the world.
Deuteronomy 28:15 But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. (ESV)
Jesus tells us that He came to restore our health so that we can live abundantly and overcome the sin that had overtaken the world.
John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (NKJV)
Jesus, himself, is explaining that it is only through Him that our lives can be restored, all aspects of our lives. Christ paid the ultimate sacrifice. He reversed the curse on our lives. As a result, we are no longer subjected to the penalties and curses of this world! Our healing is possible through Christ’s work on the cross.
Matthew 8:16–17 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon – possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” (NKJV)
Jesus was healing ALL who were sick. He removed infirmities (weaknesses) and diseases.
Let’s define the word “heal” – to mend, cure, heal, repair, and make whole; bodily soundness; healing; health; preservation; salvation; deliverance. Jesus, through his work on the cross, makes all of this possible for each of us.
Psalm 103:2-3 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. (NKJV)
Our DNA, as children of God, gives us the right to claim healing through Jesus’ name. This is part of God’s health care plan for those who have committed to a relationship with Him.
As one of God’s children, be sure to claim all that is rightfully yours!
